Fried Rice: The recipe:
Anything else you want in your fried rice (My Person used red peppers and corn this time)
- Add oil to pan, scramble eggs and fry in oil. Add salt and pepper. Remove from pan
- Add oil to pan, add onions and other non-rice ingredients and cook until mostly done (i.e., onions will be translucent).
- Add rice (My Person knew she would be making fried rice so she made extra rice in the rice cooker the day before – fried rice actually works better with day old rice, rather than rice that was just prepared)
- Add egg, stir fry together. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste.
Bonus: extra fried rice will be Other Person’s lunch for the next few days.
