I am not allowed on furniture and for years, I obeyed, but recently, I have decided to take to the couch. My Person tried to stop it at first, but she has succumbed! I win!
Here is video of me snoozing. It doesn’t really capture the complete essence of my snoring, but if you turn up the volume, you can get a sense…
The other Freshdirect perk is that My Person finally gets her kale! So, she made some kale salad. Yummy and healthy!
Kale Salad: The recipe:
- In mixing bowl, massage kale, juice from lemon, olive oil and sea salt until kale is wilted.
- Add chopped apple and honey and mix.
Also, some exciting apple news. My Person is very particular about apples. Her favorite apple is the honeycrisp apple, which is only available for a few months a year. For the rest of the year, the only apple she will eat is the fuji apple. This week, she ordered opal apples because it was a suggestion on Freshdirect and yum! Sweet and crispy! New apple to add to the rotation!
mmmm…. but I like walks too!
Okay, so there has been a bit of a cooking/shopping hiatus, but things will be back in a bit. Still, other exciting things are happening in my world. For example, there was a blizzard on Friday so there was snow for me to play in!
Look how much snow there was! (that is Another Person being silly in the snow)
Here is video of my snowy walk:
Today was a big day (and the superbowl hasn’t even started yet)!! This morning, I received a visit from my #1 fan – he even took me on a walk in the snow!!
THEN, on the walk, we ran into a dog who sniffed my nose. Guess who the dog’s Person was… PETER DINKLAGE!!!!!! He even spoke to us (he said “he’s friendly”)! I am never going to wash my nose again!
(get the title? get it? huh? huh?)
My Person didn’t want to be a creepster so she waited until they were walking away before pulling out her phone, but here’s the shot she got of the dog and his Person walking away!!!
(so many exclamation points in this post!!!!!)
There are less food postings this week, not because of the lack of groceries, but because of the social engagements that need to be attended to. Only a temporary setback. In the meantime, here is a video of what happens when you place a rubber band on my back. As you can see, I have issues with having foreign objects on my body.
Yesterday was a big day for me!! My Persons went to the Knicks game last night so I have no dinner to post, so instead, today I decided that I will tell you about my morning commute.
I live with My Person on the fifth floor of a walk-up. The building has a bunch of pre-war charm, but so. many. stairs. I am about to turn 6 in dog years, 42 in human years, and this 6/42 year old body just isn’t what it used to be. That being said, here is some video of my morning schlep.
[Warning: these videos may make you a bit dizzy]
Down: (my bum is so wobbly!)
